About The Service

KU Union is located on the edge of Sydney University and within walking distance from Redfern Station. 

The service offers a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences – including art, craft, literacy, numeracy, music, dance, song, games, stories & cooking. The team are proud to have a special interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture which is incorporated into their program.

About The Role

We are looking for a Diploma qualified educator to join the team working 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday), 8 hours per day on a rotating roster.

This is a parental leave contract until February 2027 and is a great way to get your foot in the door where the possibilities are endless. 

You will also have access to joining our casual pool if desired. 

About The Criteria

Along with relevant working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) and a sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), you will need:

• An ACCEQA recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• A current and Valid NSW Working with Children Check
• A National Child Safety Training Certificate
• A completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025) and an understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
• A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012) with separate Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (22556VIC & 22578VIC) & CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
