About Us

Cockington Green Gardens is an iconic, family-owned Canberra tourist attraction that has been delighting visitors since 1979. We are looking for energetic and flexible casuals to join our close-knit team during our peak spring season throughout September and October.

The Opportunities

We have multiple temporary casual positions available across our Admission/Souvenir and Coffee/Gift Shops. We are seeking adaptable people who can work weekdays, weekends, or a mix of both to support our fluctuating seasonal needs.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your placement, your daily tasks will include:

• Guest Welcome: Greeting visitors warmly and facilitating entry using our digital ticketing system.

• Sales & POS: Processing ticket, souvenir, food, and beverage sales using our POS system, accurately handling cash and card transactions.

• Customer Service: Enthusiastically answering visitor enquiries in person and over the phone.

• Presentation & Stock: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, restocking retail shelves, and organising inventory.

• Teamwork & Initiative: Working proactively under limited supervision to keep operations running smoothly during busy periods.

What We Are Looking For

• A genuine passion for providing a high-quality guest experience.

• High energy, confidence, and excellent communication skills to engage with visitors.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong team player mindset with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.

• Previous retail, hospitality, or tourism experience is preferred, but not essential.
