Assistant Venue Manager

We are looking for a new Assistant Venue Manger to join our wonderful team here at The Sandbar. The Sandbar is a busy cafe located on the beach in Middle Park, open 7 days a week, offering casual dining for breakfast and lunch.

About the role

The Assistant Venue Manager will work closely alongside the venue manager to develop the team and strive to ensure the venue's growth, profitability, and overall success.

Key responsibilities

• Day to day operations of the bar, restaurant and function spaces

• Knowledge of venue systems and equipment

• Roster management

• Product ordering and liaising with reps

• Drive a positive working environment and lead by example as a senior restaurant leader

• Ensuring superior service and quality to ensure delivery of outstanding guest experiences

• Opening and closing procedures

• Supporting the venue manager

About you

• Strong leadership skills to mentor the team to learn and continue to grow

• Self-motivated and proactive

• Immaculate personal presentation

• Outstanding communication skills

• People management and influence skills

• Ability to prioritise tasks

• Capacity to work under pressure

• Strong problem-solving skills

• RSA certification

• 2 years experience in a similar role

• Exposure to both bar and restaurant environments

• Basic computer skills

• Experience with booking systems

• Current valid Australian visa

• Availability to work across days, evenings and weekends
