The Role
The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems, Joint and Air Systems Program Office (EWIS J&A SPO) is seeking a highly professional, motivated APS 6 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer to join the team. Working in the Joint Electronic Warfare Survivability Program (JEWSP), you will part of Land 156 (Counter Small UAS) Project team with a mixture of APS and Contractor in managing the logistics aspects of the Capability Life Cycle.

About our Team
The EWIS J&A SPO undertakes the acquisition and through-life-support of assigned Joint and Air Electronic Warfare Capabilities used by the Australian Defence Force. It delivers countermeasures development and validation services and supports a number of projects being delivered to the Intelligence and Security Group.
The EWIS J&A SPO are comprised of members of diverse skills and disciplines who work together to provide a wide variety of activities undertaken by EWIS. It has a high performing culture and the successful candidates can expect to be challenged in their role and supported by an inclusive and considerate team and leadership group.
You will be part of a newly established Land 156 project and your project management knowledge will support the team to ensure quality, and compliance with appropriate delegations commensurate with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate would have a strong commitment to working with the team and a broad range of stakeholders to meet our legal and other regulatory requirements in the acquisition and sustainment of EW capabilities.
The right person for this role will be an individual with initiative who can perform under broad direction and in accordance with established priorities, principles, methodology and work practices and is able to collaborate effectively in a logistics team.
In addition, they will be able to optimise internal and external stakeholder relationships, in order to develop and maintain a detailed and logical plan to support the delivery of the required capability portfolio. The candidate would have an understanding of Integrated Logistic principles and be able to quickly understand the sustainment and acquisition of EW and EO capabilities and utilise inventory management systems. The candidate would also be an innovator, be prepared to look at ways in which we can do our work more efficiently. The candidate should be able to interpret specific legislation and regulations and be able to apply that knowledge to the ongoing management of EW capabilities.
The candidate will also have the ability to set work priorities and manage workflows. They are expected to be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit. They will exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes.
There is an expectation that the candidate will travel interstate on an adhoc basis.
EligibilitySecurity Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 2”.
