Help us deliver the next generation of buses

Foton Mobility Distribution is growing—and we are looking for an experienced Bus Service Manager to take ownership of the quality, delivery readiness and early aftersales support of our buses.

This is not a desk-bound management role. You will be visible, practical and involved—working with our workshop team, technicians, subcontractors, customers, TfNSW, our Nowra facility and factory technical support to ensure every bus is safe, ready, fully documented and delivered to the standard our customers expect.

Previous bus industry experience is essential for this position.

What you will do

You will:

• Plan and manage bus pre-delivery inspections, quality checks and commissioning readiness.

• Inspect buses before customer attendance and coordinate any required rectification.

• Supervise workshop activities to achieve agreed safety, quality and delivery timeframes.

• Coordinate technicians, subcontractors and internal resources.

• Complete and manage TfNSW checklists, registration requirements, compliance documentation and customer handover paperwork.

• Attend customer deliveries and vehicle handovers at depots and other locations.

• Act as a key contact for customer service, maintenance, technical and warranty enquiries.

• Keep customers and TfNSW informed of vehicle progress, outstanding actions and delivery readiness.

• Visit customers to follow up on vehicle performance, service requirements and feedback.

• Liaise with our factory and technical support teams to resolve technical and warranty matters.

• Coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance at customer premises.

• Provide quality feedback to our Nowra facility and help improve our PDI, delivery and aftersales processes.

• Work hands-on when required while keeping people, priorities and deadlines moving.

What you will bring

To be successful, you must have proven experience working with buses in service, maintenance, PDI, delivery, fleet operations, technical support or aftersales.

You will also have:

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and rectification.

• Experience supervising workshop activities and coordinating technicians or subcontractors.

• Excellent customer communication skills and the confidence to manage expectations professionally.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vehicles, priorities and deadlines.

• Experience managing service, quality, compliance, registration or handover documentation.

• A practical, solutions-focused approach and strong follow-through.

• A current driver licence and the flexibility to travel to customer depots and FMD locations as required.

A relevant automotive, heavy vehicle, mechanical or electrical trade qualification will be highly regarded. Experience with electric buses, high-voltage systems, TfNSW requirements, warranty support or fleet delivery programs would also be an advantage.
