The Opportunity

Based in our Melbourne CBD office, you’ll play a key role supporting our market-leading Property team across a portfolio of Mid-Market and Large Corporate accounts. You’ll work directly with experienced underwriters, gain exposure to complex property risks, and develop the technical expertise required for a successful underwriting career.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the underwriting team with renewals, new business and portfolio management.
• Assisting with premium calculations, technical pricing and reinsurance processing.
• Preparing policy documentation, endorsements and underwriting files.
• Managing renewal and quotation pipelines to ensure opportunities are progressed efficiently.
• Responding to broker enquiries and delivering exceptional service.
• Building strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting underwriting operations and contributing to portfolio profitability.
• Playing an active role in the continued growth of HDI’s Property portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in General Insurance, Property Insurance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional numerical capability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, curious and commercially minded approach.
• ANZIIF studies (completed or underway) will be highly regarded.
• Permanent working rights in Australia.
