About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Service & Minor Works Estimator to join our HVAC&R team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate service and maintenance quotations, assessing customer requirements, and supporting the delivery of profitable HVAC&R minor projects and service work.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, technicians, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for HVAC&R service, maintenance, repairs, and small projects.

• Review customer requests, site reports, and technical documentation.

• Conduct site visits when required to assess project scope and requirements.

• Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Analyse labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.

• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and tender submissions.

• Liaise with clients to clarify requirements and provide technical advice.

• Work closely with Service Managers and Technicians to ensure accurate pricing and project handover.

• Maintain estimating records and job costing information.

• Ability to carry out tender requests from clients and management, for service works.

• Identify opportunities for additional services and business growth.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in estimating within the HVAC&R industry.

• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC&R systems.

• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings.

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Mechanical Services, or related field preferred.

• Relevant estimating, engineering, or project management experience.

• Current driver's licence.
