Food Production Worker (Casual Full-Time Hours)

Kids Gourmet Food (KGF) is a high-volume catering business and a leading national provider of freshly prepared meals to the childcare industry across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne. Based on Sydney's Northern Beaches, we are seeking reliable, physically fit, and detail-oriented Food Production Process Workers to join our production team.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role. The position is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and accuracy. As our meals are produced for young children, attention to detail is critical, particularly when handling ingredients, reading product labels, and managing food allergens.

Key Duties

• Mixing and batching raw ingredients according to recipes and production specifications.
• Accurately picking, weighing, counting, portioning, and labelling products.
• Reading and verifying product labels, recipes, batch sheets, and allergen information.
• Packing and hand-filling products while maintaining quality standards.
• Operating food production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Working on high-volume production lines while meeting daily production targets.
• Repetitive manual handling and lifting of up to 25kg.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Following strict allergen management procedures to prevent cross-contamination.

Essential Requirements

• Full-time, unrestricted Australian working rights (must be available to work 38 hours per week).
• Applicants on student visas or with restricted work availability will not be considered.
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (fixed shift)
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting of up to 25kg.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow procedures.
• Strong counting and basic numeracy skills for accurate portioning and production counts.
• Ability to confidently read and understand product labels, recipes, batch sheets, and production instructions.
• Good understanding of food allergies, allergen management, and the importance of preventing cross-contamination.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good English communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

What We Offer

• $33.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading).
• Consistent full-time hours (Monday to Friday).
• Fixed day shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm.
