Accounts Receivable Officer

About the Role

A wonderful opportunity presents for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to become an integral part of our finance team. Reporting to the Credit Controller, the successful candidate will be based at our East Rockingham Head Office.

Duties to include, however not limited to

•       Review overdue accounts and initiate contact in line with the AR policy.
•       Identify delinquent accounts and follow the escalation process set in the AR policy.
•       Provide monthly status updated to the Credit Controller.
•       Lead monthly meetings with the branch sales teams to discuss delinquent accounts and unresolved queries preventing payments.
•       Process customer credit applications in line with established procedures.
•       Monitor credit limits and follow the escalation process set in the AR policy for accounts trading over the approved limit.
•       Ensure appropriate trade credit insurance cover is in place for all credit accounts.
•       Complete detail account reconciliations as and when required.
•       Maintain customer master data within internal systems.
•       Participate in the development and implementation of system and procedural improvements to maintain department efficiency.
•       Escalate aged trial balance and general ledger balance discrepancies to the Credit Controller and assist with investigations.
•       Prepare and post daily cash receipts within the current accounting system.
•       Ensure efficient and accurate allocations of customer payments using remittances or progress claim payment schedules, following AR policy guidance.
•       Assist with accounts receivable activities across Westview Group entities, as required.
•       Participate in preparing information for internal and external audit requirements.
•       Ensure integrity of data.

 
Who we are looking for

•       Relevant experience in a similar role (3+ years desirable).
•       Certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, Business or a related discipline desirable.
•       Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, billing, debtors, cash allocation, collections, or a similar finance administration role.
•       Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, filters, lookups and PivotTables.
•       Experience using accounting or ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics desirable.
•       Proven ability to manage customer account enquiries, reconcile balances, follow up overdue accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies professionally.
•       Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
