We're looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Fitter to help drive safety, quality, performance, and organisational capability across our manufacturing site in Braeside.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager and forming part of the Operations Team, you will maximise equipment reliability across the site to ensure that the plant can be operated safely with minimal downtime and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment.

• Mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting.

• Repairing and replacing components including pumps, conveyors, bearings and gearboxes.

• Supporting continuous improvement and equipment upgrade projects.

• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

• Completing maintenance records and associated paperwork.

• Supporting planned shutdown and maintenance activities.

• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

About You

This vital role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Key Requirements:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.

• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or processing environments.

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.

• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance.

• Ability to work effectively within a team.

• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
