About the role
This isn’t your typical winery tour.
TrailHopper guests enjoy the freedom to hop on and off at selected stops throughout the day, while you continue driving the route. Your role is to guide them through how it all works, help them plan their day, and ensure everyone has a fun, safe, and smooth experience.
You’re not expected to be a traditional tour guide or a wine expert. Guests receive detailed Info Packs and are encouraged to explore at their own pace.
Full training is provided so you’ll feel confident and ready to go.
This is a casual position, typically offering 1-3 days per week (sometimes more), with weekend availability essential.
A Typical DayCollect the 20-seater bus from our inner-city depot (approx. 9:05–9:40am)
Complete vehicle checks and collect paperwork
Pick up guests from a central city location (approx. 9:30–10:00am)
Welcome guests, explain how the tour works, and answer questions
Drive to the region and assist guests with planning their winery stops and lunch options
Follow the set timetable, picking up and dropping off guests throughout the day
Maintain a fun, friendly, and safe atmosphere on board (RSA principles apply – this is not a party bus)
Return guests to the city around 5:00pm
Return the bus to the depot, tidy/clean, and complete basic paperwork (finished by approx. 5:30pm)
Essential:
LR (Light Rigid) driver’s licence or higher
Class LP Driver Accreditation
Previous experience in a similar role (tour guiding, hospitality, or passenger transport)
Excellent people skills with a friendly, positive attitude
Confident driving ability (manual vehicles)
High level of reliability and strong safety awareness
Bonus (not essential):
RSA certification
Level 2 First Aid
Interest in or basic knowledge of South Australian wine regions
Friendly, supportive team environment
