About the role
Hear and Say is a Queensland wide provider of speech pathology and audiology services. We operate state-wide and support people of all ages - from newborn babies, to toddlers, school-age children, and adults.
An exceptional opportunity currently exists for suitably experienced and motivated individuals to join us in our Townsville Clinic in the role of Speech Pathologist. This is a permanent role, and we are open to full-time or part time hours.
Reporting to the Team Leader – Speech Pathology / Listening and Spoken Language, the purpose of this role is to is to provide a quality clinical program to support a range of clients (including paediatric clients) and families with assessment, diagnosis, therapy and management with a wide range of ages and communication challenges.
Key functions of this role include managing a clinical caseload, case management, therapy planning and conducting assessments and reporting whilst adhering to all quality assurance elements to ensure the highest standard of care is provided to clients.
We have robust onboarding and mentoring programs with initial reduced caseloads on commencement and gradual scaling up to full billable hours . The mentoring program is available for all levels of experience (from New Graduate to Senior Clinicians); as well as opportunities to train in the Listening and Spoken Language Specialisation.
The ideal candidate will be a generalist Speech Pathologist (we are open to New Graduates through to Senior Clinicians), experienced in supporting and working with a diverse range of clients (including paediatric clients), along with strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions. In addition, the successful candidate will possess:
Mandatory requirements of this role include-
1. Full member of Speech Pathology Australia, including current Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist qualification.
2. Eligibility to clear probity checks including disability worker screening and working with children check (Blue Card / Yellow Card).
A current open driver’s licence is highly desirable, as is the ability to travel to other sites as required.
