About the role
Join us in making a difference! We're seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Casual Youth Worker in our supported youth accommodation setting.
The youth service works to a 24-hour roster with a mix of day, afternoon and passive (or overnight) shifts. We are looking for someone who has experience in building therapeutic relationships with young people and who has a passion to guide young people towards independence through engagement with living skills, education, work and connection to community.
The role will involve working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is important that the right candidate has knowledge of trauma informed practice, experience responding to high- risk situations and maintaining professional boundaries.
The role may be perfect for someone who already works in community services and is looking to make a difference in another setting, otherwise University students who are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop in their skills in the homeless sector.
