RF/Antenna Design Engineer

DefendTex are seeking RF Antenna Design Engineer to join an expanding team working on the development of cutting-edge Defence technologies, specifically developing leading edge, innovative and practical electronic systems and sub-systems for use in tomorrow’s defence technology.

• Design of miniaturised and/or conformal antennas
• RF circuit design and testing
• Working with and setting up test equipment such as VNA’s, spectrum analysers, & oscilloscopes.
• Prepare specifications and requirements
• Analysing standards for key requirements
• Developing test and evaluation plans and procedures

• Bachelor Communications, Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline
• Australian Citizenship – must be eligible for the Australian Government BASELINE security check
• Not be a prohibited person under Section 3 of the Firearms Act 1996 (Victoria)
• Experience with Altium Designer
• Experience designing with CST, ADS, or equivalent
• Experience designing and testing antennas within tight enclosures.
• Experience performing cascade analysis on RF signal chains
• Debugging and fault-finding circuits
• Surface mount assembly and rework
