Safety Advisor

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Safety Advisor to join our team in the Pilbara. This hands-on, site-based role is ideal for someone who understands how mining maintenance really works, not just how it looks on paper. You’ll work closely with leaders and crews, strengthening safety systems, influencing safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation without turning safety into a box-ticking exercise.
  
You’ll build trust on the workshop floor, provide practical guidance on critical risk management, and to maintain site compliance and continuity, you will occasionally step in to support Training Advisor duties when they are enjoying their R&R.

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma highly regarded)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Experience in a site-based Safety or Safety & Training role within mining or heavy maintenance
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, ICAM and risk management frameworks
• Confidence engaging with both frontline crews and site leadership
• Audit experience or qualifications (highly regarded)
• A practical, balanced approach—firm on standards and realistic about site conditions
