Law Student (Commercial Law)

Velocity Legal is looking for a high-performing law student to join our Commercial Law Team.

You will work closely with three experienced Directors, contribute to live commercial matters and learn how a busy commercial practice operates from instruction through to completion.

Part-time position (two days per week) based in our Melbourne CBD office.

This role involves:

• supporting client onboarding and anti-money laundering compliance;

• assisting the legal team with a wide range of administrative tasks;

• conducting legal research and preparing preliminary drafts of documents; and

• supporting the team across a broad range of commercial matters and transactions.

You will learn the discipline behind high-quality commercial legal work. As you build capability and earn trust, we will give you greater responsibility.

The requirements for this role are:

• currently studying law at university;

• 2+ years remaining before your graduation;

• an average of at least 70% across your law subjects; and

• a professional and dependable approach to your work.
