About the role
Since 1911, Workspace has been a leader in Australian manufacturing and designing. We specialise in designing project-based solutions for commercial, educational, hospitality, health, aged care and accommodation and offer end-to-end service; from product design and development through to planning, manufacture, despatch, freight and installation.
We are seeking an experienced Furniture Upholsterer to become part of our team at our Melrose Park facility. Our upholstery staff are high performers who work together to ensure our furniture is looking its best, ready for our wide variety of customers.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders and design specifications.
Measure, cut and fit fabric.
Use hand tools such as staple guns, tack hammers and stretching pliers.
Operate cutting and sewing machinery.
Ensure all work meets commercial durability.
Inspect finished pieces for quality and consistency.
Manage workload to meet production deadlines.
Adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
Follow safe working practices and maintain a clean worksite.
About You
Previous upholstery experience is essential.
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
Reliable, proactive and safety-focused.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
