Austlift is a leading Australian supplier of lifting, rigging, load restraint, height safety and materials handling products, supplying an extensive network of distributors throughout Australia.

We are looking for a creative, organised and commercially focused Graphic Designer – with Product & Marketing experience to join our Brisbane team.

This is an in-house position with a strong focus on our growing Height Safety division. You will take ownership of the design and maintenance of our Height Safety marketing and technical materials, while also supporting our Buying Groups Manager and Head Office graphics team with promotional and marketing projects.

This role would suit a graphic designer who enjoys variety and wants to see their work used across real products, packaging, catalogues, websites, promotions, trade shows and sales campaigns.

The Role

Your primary responsibility will be managing the graphic design requirements of the Austlift Height Safety product range.

You will work closely with the National Sales Manager / Height Safety Product Manager to develop and maintain professional, consistent and accurate product and marketing material.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and maintaining product brochures, flyers and promotional material
• Creating and updating product specification sheets
• Designing and maintaining product instruction manuals and technical literature
• Creating and updating product labels, packaging artwork and manufacturer artwork
• Maintaining Height Safety catalogues and product publications
• Preparing graphics and product information for website updates
• Creating sales presentations and promotional material for new product launches
• Producing graphics for trade shows, exhibitions, banners and display material
• Assisting with product photography and basic image editing
• Producing basic product and promotional videos
• Creating graphics and basic content for social media and sales posts
• Supporting the Buying Groups Manager with monthly group promotions, catalogues, flyers and sales campaigns
• Assisting the Head Office graphic designer with projects when additional design support is required
• Maintaining organised artwork files, templates, images and product information
• Ensuring Austlift branding remains consistent across publications and promotional material

A key part of the role will be taking existing technical and product information and turning it into clear, professional and commercially effective material for our distributors and end users.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines good design skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in graphic design, marketing design or a similar commercial design role
• Strong skills using professional graphic design software, preferably Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience creating brochures, catalogues, flyers and other multi-page publications
• Good layout, typography and visual communication skills
• Basic photography and photo-editing capability
• Ability to create and edit basic video content for product, promotional and social media use
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written English and proofreading skills
• Ability to work with technical product information
• Good organisational and file-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Confidence working independently while also collaborating with sales, product, purchasing and marketing teams

Experience working with industrial products, safety equipment, technical products, manufacturing, wholesale or B2B marketing would be highly regarded but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

This isn't a role where you will simply be handed finished artwork briefs.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, ask the right questions, organise information and turn technical product details into professional, easy-to-understand sales and marketing material.

You might be updating a technical manual one day, photographing a new product and producing a specification sheet the next, then working on a Buying Group promotion, catalogue or trade-show graphic.
