Pump Fitter

About the role

Kalpumps Sales and Service is seeking an experienced Pump Fitter to join our team in Kalgoorlie, WA. This role is responsible for the building, assembling, and repair of pumps and related mechanical equipment to a high standard, supporting our commitment to delivering reliable pump solutions to clients across the mining, processing, and agricultural sectors. Flexible hours are available, and some site work may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and disassemble pumps and mechanical components to specification

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, servicing, and overhauls of pumps and related equipment

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety

• Maintain accurate service and repair records

• Liaise with the sales and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met

• Attend client sites as required to carry out fitting, installation, or repair work

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent

• Proven experience building and assembling pumps or similar mechanical components

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

• Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A valid driver's licence

• Willingness to travel to client sites as required
