Theatre Orderly - Casual

About The Role

We have a great opportunity for enthusiastic Theatre Orderlies to join our dynamic hospital team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster with occasional Saturday shifts available.

Duties And Responsibilities

This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices.

Assist with admissions and discharges and prepare patients for surgeryProvide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to, in and from the operating theatreEnsure beds are correct and made according to the session allocationsAssist in the cleaning of operating theatresComplete any relevant audits in collaboration with clinical leadAssist with stock control and ordering

About You

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

Experience as a theatre orderlyKnowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipmentExperience in supply / stock control management and orderingExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of infection control principlesAbility to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs

About Westside Private Hospital

Westside Private Hospital is a specialised short-stay facility, supporting a diverse range of specialties including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, General & Colorectal Surgery, Dermatology, MOHs, IVF, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Oral Surgery.

Westside Private Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres, 1 procedure room, 3 treatment rooms, a 12- bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a 9-chair Stage 3 PACU, and 6-bed surgical ward.
