Role 1: Experienced Geotechnical Engineer

Experience: 4-8 years

About This Role

Step into a role where your technical expertise directly shapes construction outcomes. You'll deliver and certify geotechnical reports, run advanced analyses, and mentor the next generation of investigators - all while building towards technical leadership.

What You'll Do

• Review, certify, and sign off Lot/Site Classification reports (AS1726, AS2870, AS2159, NSW & QLD standards)

• Lead bulk earthworks investigations and designs from brief to final report

• Run Plaxis 2D/3D analyses for embankments, slopes, and retaining structures

• Prepare geotechnical reports, slope stability assessments, and earthworks specifications

• Conduct and oversee field investigations, soil/rock logging, and earthworks testing

• Mentor junior engineers and Site Investigators

• Contribute to QA systems, reporting templates, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 4-8 years' geotechnical engineering experience

• Hands-on bulk earthworks design and reporting background

• Solid Plaxis 2D/3D modelling skills

• Geotester reporting experience

• NER and RPEQ registered

• Willingness to cross-train in Screw Pier foundation design

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (or related)

• CPEng accreditation highly regarded

• Clear communicator who takes ownership and drives outcomes
