About the role
Gold Coast Trades College is looking for a creative, tech-savvy and motivated junior team member to support our social media, website, digital marketing and online learning resources.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating content, designing imagery, working with digital platforms and bringing ideas to life. You’ll help us showcase our students, apprentices, trainers, courses and industry partnerships while also supporting the development of engaging resources within our Learning Management System (LMS).
No two days will look the same. One day you might be filming a reel in the workshop, and the next you could be designing course imagery, updating our website or helping build an online learning activity.
About the role
Your responsibilities may include:
Creating and editing reels, videos and social media content
Taking photos and videos of students, trainers, courses, workshops and events
Designing graphics, promotional imagery and branded content using Canva or similar programs
Planning and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms
Writing clear, engaging and on-brand captions and promotional wording
Updating wording, images, course information and landing pages on our WordPress website
Assisting with the development and formatting of digital learning resources
Building and uploading content within our Learning Management System
Creating presentations, learner activities, quizzes, downloadable resources and supporting imagery
Helping convert existing training information into clear, visually engaging digital content
Checking online content for accuracy, consistency, spelling and presentation
Assisting with email campaigns, promotional materials and general marketing activities
Supporting the team with fresh ideas for student engagement, course promotion and digital learning
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
Is creative, confident with technology and keen to learn
Enjoys creating social media content, graphics and digital resources
Has experience using Canva or similar design software
Is confident creating and editing reels and short-form videos
Is familiar with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
Has basic WordPress experience or is willing and able to learn
Has experience with an LMS, online learning platform or digital course content—or is excited to develop these skills
Has a good eye for design, detail and visual presentation
Can turn written information into content that is clear, engaging and easy to understand
Has strong written communication and spelling skills
Is organised, reliable and comfortable managing a variety of tasks
Can work independently while also contributing to a fun and supportive team
Is confident approaching people and capturing authentic content
Brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go
Experience is valued, but we’re equally interested in creativity, personality, initiative and the right attitude. This role could suit a junior content creator, marketing student, recent graduate or someone building experience in digital learning and communications.
Why join Gold Coast Trades College?
Creative and varied role with room to grow
Flexible part-time opportunity
Supportive, down-to-earth and energetic team
Opportunity to develop skills across social media, digital marketing, websites and online learning
Plenty of freedom to contribute ideas and make the role your own
Work within an organisation that genuinely helps people build careers in the trades
Burleigh Heads location
