About the Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks within a large-scale open cut mining environment. You will play a key role in supporting production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Safely operate haul trucks in accordance with site procedures.
• Transport ore and waste material to designated dump locations.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects.
• Utilise MineStar GPS technology to accurately haul material.
• Maintain situational awareness and identify potential hazards.
• Participate in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.
• Work collaboratively within a production mining team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and operational standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous haul truck or heavy machinery operating experience (highly regarded).
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability, accountability and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work a rotating 14/14 roster and provide your own accommodation within one hour of Lake Cowal Mine site.
• Current manual driver's license.
• Motivation to contribute to a productive and professional mining operation.
