Full time Optical Assistant- Specsavers Macquarie Park

Key responsibilities

1. Providing outstanding customer service to all visitors, assisting with product selection and purchases across our optical and retail ranges

2. Supporting the optical dispensing process, including frame fitting, lens selection guidance, and ensuring accurate order fulfilment

3. Ensuring consistent adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards

4. Managing stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and maintaining a well-organised and visually appealing retail display

5. Processing transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments responsibly

6. Fostering a positive working environment

7. Promoting Specsavers products and services, including eye care packages and promotional offers, to maximise sales opportunities

8. Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards

9. Supporting the store manager in achieving sales targets and operational objectives

What we're looking for

1. Previous retail experience, ideally in an optical or customer-facing retail environment

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues

3. Sound product knowledge of eyewear, frames, lenses, and optical services, or the willingness to develop this knowledge

4. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management software

5. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required

6. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

7. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to achieving sales targets

8. Problem-solving abilities and a professional, can-do attitude
