About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and professional individual to join the Environmental Health team to undertake scheduled inspections of licenced and registered premises while providing support, guidance and coaching to team members.

In This Role, You Will
Deliver efficient and effective environmental and public health services relating to food premises, legionella control, commercial and public swimming pools, skin penetration businesses and onsite sewage management systemsInvestigate and manage complaints and health-related incidents, including food-borne illness outbreaks, and undertake regulatory action in accordance with relevant legislationAssess development applications and provide specialist environmental health adviceProvide expert advice to the community, Council and other stakeholders on environmental health matters, legislative requirements and industry best practiceSupport, mentor and coach team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment
About You
You will be a knowledgeable and customer-focused environmental health professional with strong regulatory experience and a commitment to protecting public health.
You Will Also Bring
A Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health), or equivalent qualifications eligible for membership of Environmental Health AustraliaSignificant experience as an Environmental Health Officer or in a similar roleStrong knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Local Government, Public Health and Environmental Health legislationDemonstrated ability to investigate issues and prepare clear, accurate technical reports and recommendationsExcellent communication, negotiation, customer service and conflict resolution skillsExperience supervising, mentoring and developing staffCurrent NSW Class C Driver Licence
