The role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundskeeper to maintain and improve the 25 hectares of outdoor spaces across our diverse properties. The ideal candidate will be experienced with using a variety of landscaping equipment and have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor areas across 5 of our farms, perimeter fence lines, company accommodation, and administration buildings.

• Operate a zero-turn lawn mower to ensure lawns and green spaces are kept neat and tidy.

• Use a tractor with a slasher to clear brush, maintain paddocks, and keep fence lines in good condition.

• Safely operate a quad bike for routine property inspections and maintenance tasks.

• Mix and apply chemicals for weed control, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

• Use chainsaws and whipper snippers for tree trimming, hedge cutting, and general landscaping tasks.

• Perform general property maintenance, ensuring all areas remain safe, functional, and presentable.

• Drive vehicles and trailers for transportation of tools, equipment, and materials.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience using zero-turn lawn mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment.

• Competent in operating a tractor with a slasher and a quad bike.

• Knowledge of proper chemical mixing and application techniques for weed spraying.

• Strong skillset in operating chainsaws and whipper snippers.

• Valid manual car license.

• Competent in driving with a trailer.

• Ability to work independently and manage a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple locations.

• Previous experience in a similar groundskeeping or landscaping role, particularly in farm or rural settings advantageous but not essential.

• Understanding of workplace safety standards and best practices.
