What you will be doing and delivering 

Flavorite is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on a Monday to Friday basis, with participation in an on-call roster every 6–8 weeks. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping plant, equipment, and buildings running safely and efficiently. 

• Maintain fixed and mobile plant, equipment, and buildings in line with work orders via the CMMS (MEX) system 
• Fabricate and assemble metal components with precision, ensuring correct fit, clearance, and alignment 
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in plant and equipment 
• Source and procure required parts and materials efficiently 
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and respond promptly to critical breakdowns 
• Safely operate a range of maintenance plant and equipment 
• Participate in a roster to provide timely support during emergency breakdowns across the farm

The ideal candidate brings strong technical maintenance capability, sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and a reliable, safety-first work ethic. You have excellent attention to detail, can work autonomously as well as within a team, and take ownership of the quality of your work. Your positive attitude, adaptability during changing priorities, and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable maintenance outcomes make you a valuable member of the maintenance team. 

Here’s what will help you succeed: 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Be a qualified Fitter and Turner, Fitter Welder, Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter, or hold a similar trade qualification, or demonstrate relevant experience 
• Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude 
• Hold a current driver’s licence 
• Experience with CMMS MEX, or similar software system, a forklift license and EWP ticket is highly desirable 
• Flexible with weekend work when necessary, during emergency breakdowns
