Experinced Pharmacy Assistant

Cincotta Discount Chemist Toukley is a busy, community-focused pharmacy offering great value, strong health and beauty ranges and friendly, knowledgeable service to our local customers.

We are looking for a reliable, organised and commercially minded team member to take ownership of key retail pharmacy operations while remaining an active, customer-facing member of our pharmacy team.

This is an important full-time role suited to an experienced pharmacy assistant, retail coordinator, buyer, merchandiser or highly capable retail team member ready to step into a broader pharmacy operations position.

You will work closely with our management team, pharmacists, head office and business development representatives to keep our store well stocked, promotional activity accurate and on time, and day-to-day retail operations running smoothly.

The successful applicant will play a leading role in:

• Ordering and buying stock across pharmacy, health, beauty, front-of-shop and promotional ranges

• Monitoring stock levels, identifying gaps and maintaining appropriate stock availability

• Liaising with Cincotta head office, suppliers, representatives and our Business Development Manager

• Coordinating catalogue activity, promotional offers, display changes and point-of-sale material

• Ensuring promotional tickets, shelf labels, pricing and promotional end dates are accurate and completed on time

• Supporting merchandising standards, planograms, stock rotation and presentation throughout the store

• Receiving, checking, pricing and putting away stock deliveries

• Assisting with stocktakes, inventory control, expiry-date checking and minimising stock loss

• Helping identify opportunities to improve product range, promotions, sales and customer experience

• Supporting the wider team with general pharmacy assistant duties as required

• Providing friendly, efficient customer service and helping customers find suitable pharmacy and retail products within your training and scope

• Assisting at the front counter, operating POS systems and directing prescription, medicine and clinical enquiries to the pharmacist where required

• Supporting a clean, safe, organised and well-presented pharmacy environment

You are someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in getting the details right and can balance behind-the-scenes administration with being present on the shop floor.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, supermarket, health and beauty, buying, merchandising, stock-control or promotional-coordination role

• Experience with pharmacy buying, catalogue execution, supplier liaison, head-office systems or retail promotions—this would be highly regarded, but is not essential

• Strong attention to detail, particularly with pricing, ticketing, promotional dates, stock ordering and follow-through

• Confidence using computers, retail systems, email and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn our pharmacy systems quickly

• Good communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with suppliers, representatives, head office and colleagues

• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to assist wherever needed in a busy pharmacy environment

• Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

• A reliable, positive and team-oriented attitude

• Previous pharmacy assistant experience or a pharmacy assistant qualification would be an advantage, but we are open to training the right person with strong retail and organisational capability
