About the role
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to enquiries, schedule appointments and greet patients, and visitors of Western Imaging for Women in a professional, courteous and respectful manner.
Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
Ensure patient information is accurate and up to date, including billing information.
Maintain and manage patient records
Process patient payments and Medicare rebates with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
At all times ensure behaviours towards patients, visitors and staff of Western Imaging is professional, respectful, compassionate and empathetic.
Ensure clinic is opened on-time and that the reception area is neat, tidy and inviting for patients and guests.
Regularly check waiting areas to ensure they are left clean and tidy.
Respond and comply to requests for information
Turn on and set up sonographers’ rooms and equipment on a daily basis and ensure all rooms are stocked adequately.
Assist sonographers with minor IT issues.
Patient triage
Monitor and action patient email inquiries.
Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
General administration tasks including scanning, drafting documents and assisting the Practice Manager as directed.
Balance daily receipts and banking.
On a rotation basis, ensure staff kitchen and tearoom is clean, tidy and restocked.
Other tasks as required commensurate with skills and experience.
Full time immediate start available.
Days of employment are 5 days per week and one Saturday per month.
You may be expected to work 8.5 hours on any day from Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 6pm to cover leave and across multiple locations.
Ability to work part of a team in a fast-paced clinic.
Flexibility is a must.
A minimum of 2 years Medical Administration experience is essential. Experience in Obstetric & Gynaecological and/or Medical Imaging is preferred.
Candidates with no Medical Administration experience will not be considered.
This position is not intended for current university students.
