Graduate Credit Analyst – Pathway to Commercial Broking

Are you a recent graduate or a student nearing completion of your degree looking to build a career in finance, lending and commercial broking?

We are looking for ambitious and commercially minded graduates and students to join a growing commercial finance team as a Graduate Commercial Analyst.

This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, making it an excellent opportunity for students nearing completion of their studies who want to gain valuable industry experience alongside their degree.

This is more than an entry-level analyst role. You’ll work alongside experienced commercial finance professionals, learn how commercial lending works from the ground up, and develop the skills and knowledge required to ultimately build a career as a Commercial Broker.

You don’t need previous lending or broking experience. We’re looking for smart, motivated people who are confident with numbers, communicate well and are genuinely interested in learning commercial finance.

As a Graduate Commercial Analyst, you’ll work closely with the commercial team and gain exposure to the full lending process, including:

• Assisting with commercial loan applications from initial enquiry through to submission

• Conducting financial and credit analysis

• Reviewing financial statements and assessing business performance

• Learning how to assess lender appetite and credit requirements

• Assisting with deal structuring and identifying appropriate lending solutions

• Preparing finance proposals and credit submissions

• Liaising with lenders, clients and other key stakeholders

• Managing and maintaining transaction pipelines

• Learning how different lenders, products and funding structures work

• Supporting the commercial team across a range of transactions and gaining exposure to increasingly complex deals

Our goal is to develop you into a Commercial Broker.

You’ll initially focus on developing your technical knowledge, commercial understanding and credit skills alongside experienced brokers and analysts.

As your knowledge and confidence grows, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility, develop client-facing skills and begin working towards managing your own clients and transactions.

This is an opportunity to build a long-term career in commercial finance — not remain in an analyst role indefinitely.

• Recent graduates or students nearing completion of a Finance, Banking, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or similar degree

• Commercially minded and genuinely interested in business and finance

• Strong with numbers and comfortable analysing financial information

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Confident communicators who can build relationships

• Curious, proactive and eager to learn

• Ambitious and motivated to build a career in commercial finance

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and performance-driven environment

• Interested in ultimately becoming a Commercial Broker

Previous lending, banking or broking experience is not essential. Relevant internships, work experience or exposure to finance will be highly regarded.

• $50,000 – $60,000 + super (full-time equivalent)
