Team Leader – Retail Showroom

Chef's Hat is a family-owned hospitality supplier. We kit out the restaurants, cafés and pubs you eat at and the home cooks who want the same tools the pros use. Our South Melbourne showroom is where that comes to life, and we're after a hands-on Team Leader to run the floor and lead the team on it.

Our showroom trades seven days, and weekends are when it's at its best, chefs on their day off, weekend project cooks, new venue owners. This role works a weekend rotation, balanced with rostered days off midweek.

•     Lead and support the showroom team day to day

•     Drive sales performance from the floor

•     Oversee stock processes and presentation standards

•     Support staff training and onboarding

•     Maintain a high level of customer service

•     Process sales, orders and invoices using our POS and MYOB system

•     Leadership experience in hospitality or retail

•     A genuine interest in cooking and how professional kitchens and front of house run

•     Strong communicator, organised, comfortable leading by example on a busy floor

•     Confident on a computer; MYOB or similar is a bonus

•     Available for a weekend rotation, and happy on your feet moving stock and demonstrating products

Never sold kitchen equipment before? We'll teach you the product. We can't teach you care, curiosity and the instinct to look after people.
