About the role
About Us
Myxa is a registered NDIS service provider dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers. We offer personalised services designed to maximise choice and control for our participants. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
Your New Role
As the House Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care and support for Myxa participants, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements and NDIS practice standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting a team of Disability Support Workers in a accommodation setting
Managing daily operations of support services
Collaborating with participants' care teams, including allied health professionals, to ensure care plans are met and services are delivered at the highest standard
Regularly reviewing and updating participant documentation
Inducting new support staff
Conducting supervision sessions with support staff
Addressing team conflicts and performance issues
Participating in staff meetings, supervision, and training sessions
Identifying, reporting, and following up on workplace health and safety matters
Managing and reporting incidents
Performing general administrative duties
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We seek a compassionate and reliable individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. You should have previous experience and a solid understanding of the NDIS, including its practice standards and participant support requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
Relevant qualifications
Experience in team support
Strong understanding of the complex needs of individuals with disabilities
Forensic Experience
Knowledge and experience in delivering services according to NDIS Practice Standards
Ability to work independently
Excellent time management and task planning skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and initiative
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid/CPR certification
Driver’s license
