Join one of Australia's fastest-growing electrical wholesalers and be part of something genuinely exciting. We are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to play a key leadership role in the launch of our brand-new Distribution Centre located in Derrimutt, Melbourne

This is a rare opportunity to be involved from the ground up and help shape, establish and grow a critical part of Tradezone's national network.

From overseeing the initial setup and fit-out through to developing efficient processes and building a high-performing team, you'll have genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Working closely with our National Operations Manager, you'll help establish a DC known for speed, service, reliability and culture. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy building and improving systems, leading from the front and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. Just as importantly, you'll know how to remain calm under pressure and bring people with you through periods of growth and change.

The Role:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre, including three Shift Managers and a new build team of 30+ employees

• Oversee receiving, put-away, picking and dispatch operations to consistently achieve operational KPIs

• Analyse operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service

• Lead performance management, coaching and development across the warehouse team

• Plan and allocate resources across shifts to ensure operational requirements are met

• Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with Tradezone's values and leadership behaviours

• Champion a zero-harm safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety systems, audits and risk management processes

• Work autonomously to solve operational challenges and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Build strong relationships across Operations, Commercial, Head Office and other key business units

• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and warehouse operations

About You:

• 5+ years' hands-on experience in a similar senior warehouse/operations management role

• Proven experience leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills

• A demonstrated ability to analyse KPIs, solve problems and drive continuous improvement

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence communicating with Executive Management

• Strong Microsoft Office and general IT skills

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business

• Ability to travel to Queensland for initial training (travel/accommodation provided)

• Current LF forklift licence — essential
