About CarparklyCarparkly is an Australian AI-powered parking platform that helps property owners, businesses, institutions and organisations turn eligible unused parking spaces into smart, bookable parking options.The platform enables parking-space owners to generate additional income while helping drivers find easier and more convenient parking.As Carparkly expands across Australia, we are offering students the opportunity to gain supervised, practical experience in startup marketing, community engagement, content creation and market development.
About the InternshipThis is an unpaid, learning-focused internship designed for students seeking practical experience connected with their academic and professional development.The internship includes defined learning objectives, orientation, supervision, mentoring and regular feedback. It is intended to help participants develop practical skills and understand how marketing supports the growth of an Australian technology startup.The internship is not intended to replace a paid employee position. Where required, participation may be subject to approval by the intern’s university, college or education provider.Available Internship StreamsApplicants may express interest in one of the following internship streams:Marketing & Community Engagement InternThis stream may suit students interested in communication, community engagement, market research, partnership marketing and local business development.

Supervised Learning ActivitiesDepending on your learning objectives and location, activities may include:Researching local parking challenges and market opportunitiesIdentifying suitable business categories and areas for further researchObserving how Carparkly communicates with potential parking partnersPractising how to explain Carparkly’s platform professionallyAssisting with supervised community-awareness activitiesShadowing parts of the partner engagement and onboarding processConducting approved local observations and market researchPreparing sample outreach materials or local campaign conceptsSharing community observations and feedback with the Carparkly teamParticipating in online training, planning and mentoring sessionsPreparing learning reflections and progress updatesLocal activities will be conducted under team guidance. Interns will not be expected to undertake unsupervised sales activities or meet commercial sales targets.

Supervised Learning ActivitiesDepending on your interests and learning objectives, activities may include:Developing sample content ideas for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTubeCreating short videos, reels, graphics, carousels and promotional conceptsWriting captions, hooks and calls to actionAssisting with content ideas for brand-awareness and partner-education campaignsResearching parking, property, mobility, smart-city and local-business trendsExploring different messages that explain how unused parking can become bookablePreparing content concepts for different cities, suburbs and audiencesParticipating in creative reviews and feedback sessionsOrganising approved creative work into a portfolioPreparing learning reflections and progress updates
With prior approval, interns may also have opportunities to:Visit suitable public areas or approved potential partner locationsCapture general footage illustrating local parking challengesCreate photos, short videos or interview-style content with consentCollect approved footage for educational and promotional conceptsSubmit raw footage and creative ideas for team reviewPrivacy and Content StandardsAll photography and filming must be conducted respectfully, professionally and with appropriate permission.Interns must not film or publish identifiable people, children, private property, vehicle registration plates, business interiors, customers, patients or students without appropriate approval and consent. All content must be reviewed and approved by Carparkly before publication.
