About the role
BALCOR is a First Nations-owned and operated NDIS provider delivering a range of supports across the Northern Territory. We work with participants in Darwin and Palmerston, as well as people living in remote and regional communities.
Our approach is centred on people, culture, choice and connection. Many of the participants we support have strong connections to family, community, culture and Country, and we believe these connections are an important part of achieving their goals.
Our services include Support Coordination, Community Access, Short Term Accommodation, Specialist Behaviour Support and employment-related supports.
We are a growing organisation and are looking for people who want to make a genuine difference while working respectfully alongside participants, families and communities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Support Coordinator to join the Balcor team.
You will work alongside NDIS participants to implement their plans, achieve their goals, build capacity and connect them with the right supports and services. You will manage your own caseload and build strong working relationships with participants, families and other stakeholders.
Balcor supports participants across Darwin, Palmerston and remote Northern Territory communities. The successful applicant must be comfortable working across different environments and willing to travel to remote communities when required.

Coordinate with families, support workers, allied health professionals, service providers and other stakeholders.
Develop practical, person-centred support solutions that reflect each participant's culture, community and goals.
Assist with NDIS plan reviews, reporting and achieving participant outcomes.
Maintain accurate case notes, records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements and BALCOR policies.
Travel to remote communities when required.
We are looking for an experienced Support Coordinator who can build genuine relationships, communicate respectfully and work confidently across both urban and remote environments.
Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Support Coordinator.
Demonstrated experience working within the NDIS.
Demonstrated experience working respectfully and effectively with First Nations people and communities.
Strong understanding of NDIS plans, funding, supports and participant rights.
Experience coordinating supports and working with multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication, advocacy, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
Strong written communication and case note/report writing skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to remote Northern Territory communities when required.
Current driver's licence.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

A certificate or higher qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Disability, Mental Health or a related field is desirable.
Relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
Experience working with First Nations communities in the Northern Territory.
Experience working in remote or regional communities.
Experience supporting people with complex or multiple support needs.
Experience working with psychosocial disability.
Knowledge of Northern Territory community services and local support networks.
A supportive and collaborative team environment.
The opportunity to work with participants across urban and remote Northern Territory communities.
A role where cultural connection and participant choice are genuinely valued.
Professional development and opportunities to grow.
Laptop, phone and technology provided.
Employee assistance and wellbeing support.
Competitive remuneration based on experience and qualifications.
The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with disability across the Northern Territory.
If you are an experienced Support Coordinator who understands the importance of culture, community and connection, and you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
