Primary School Teachers and Tutors

At Mindful Primary Tutoring, we are dedicated to providing exceptional educational support to students from Prep to Grade 6. Our mission is to help every child reach their full potential through personalized tutoring in Maths and Literacy. We are now seeking passionate and dedicated Primary School Teachers, Pre-Service Teachers, and Learning Support Officers to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and committed educators to join our tutoring centre in Heidelberg, Melbourne. As a tutor, you will work with students from Prep to Grade 6, providing targeted support in Maths and Literacy. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers, pre-service teachers, and learning support officers to make a meaningful impact on students' academic progress.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in Maths and Literacy for students from Prep to Grade 6.

• Develop personalized learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.

• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure the highest quality of education and support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (for Primary School Teachers).

• Currently enrolled in an Education degree program (for Pre-Service Teachers).

• Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting (for Learning Support Officers).

• Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum for Maths and Literacy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passionate about education and committed to student success.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including after school and weekends.

Rates range from $50–$90 per hour for experienced teachers (depending on group size with a maximum of 5 students), and $40 per hour flat for pre-service teachers and learning support officers.
