Role Overview 

The Financial Accountant – Leasing & Asset Management is responsible for the financial settlement of all equipment transactions, leasing accounting, portfolio administration, financier administration and associated accounting activities including financier obligations and regulatory requirements.

The role performs a critical function in supporting revenue generation by ensuring customer transactions are accurately settled, funded, recorded and administered throughout the asset and lease lifecycle.

Some of your duties will include: 

• Manage the end-to-end financial settlement of all equipment transactions

• Maintain the financial records, schedules and documentation relating to leasing

• Establish and maintain leasing contracts, payment schedules and associated accounting records

• Liaise with financier partners regarding settlements, funding and account administration

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of finance-related master data, records and system configurations

• Provide support to the Finance Manager and broader finance team as required

What we are looking for 

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline

• Demonstrated experience in accounting, settlements, leasing, asset/equipment finance or similar environments

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent (highly regarded)
