SWM Fabrications is seeking a keen and reliable Apprentice Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our team in Churchill, QLD. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fabrication and metalworking industry.

About the role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of fabrication projects while completing your apprenticeship.

Your day-to-day work may include:

• Learning to read and interpret drawings and plans
• Measuring, cutting, fitting and fabricating steel and other materials
• Using a range of workshop tools and machinery
• Welding and developing fabrication skills
• Assisting tradespeople with fabrication and installation work
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Developing your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Keen to learn and develop new skills
• Practical and enjoys hands-on work
• Safety-conscious
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Willing to take direction and learn from experienced tradespeople
• Has a genuine interest in fabrication, welding and metalwork
• Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transport
• Previous workshop, construction or hands-on experience is an advantage, but not essential

Position Details

• Location: Churchill, QLD 4305
• Trade: Fabrication / Boilermaking
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Employment: Full-time Apprenticeship
• Driver's Licence: Required
