About the role
About the role
Join a supportive, collaborative and high-performing team where your work will help shape a smarter, more sustainable Melbourne. Working within City Property, you'll play an important role in supporting the effective management and ongoing improvement of one of Australia's most diverse property portfolios.
As a Property Analyst, you'll help coordinate utility contracts across the portfolio while supporting financial administration and the efficient delivery of utility services that contribute to both operational and sustainability objectives.
This is a varied role where you'll be involved in contract administration, financial monitoring, cost reporting, invoice and payment coordination, contractor performance monitoring and the oversight of utility-related business processes. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including the Sustainability team, helping to ensure services are delivered effectively while identifying opportunities to enhance performance and create efficiencies.
Beyond utility management, you'll contribute to business performance reporting, process mapping, quality assurance activities and change initiatives. Through the analysis of data and business information, you'll provide insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making, improve operational performance and drive continuous improvement across City Property.
If you enjoy work that combines analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and project support, this opportunity offers the chance to make a tangible impact while working alongside a welcoming team that genuinely supports one another's success!
Why join Team Melbourne?
Located on the traditional lands of the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, Melbourne is globally recognised as one of the most liveable, diverse, and dynamic cities.
At the heart of it all is the City of Melbourne – a passionate, purpose-driven organisation where your work truly matters. As part of Team Melbourne, you’ll help deliver what’s most important to the people who live, work, study, visit and invest in our great city.
We’re proud champions of diversity, committed to continuous improvement, and driven by a shared vision for a vibrant and sustainable future.
This is more than just a role – it’s your chance to make a real impact, contribute to something bigger, and shape Melbourne’s future alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
About you
You are a highly organised and analytical professional with experience in contract administration, financial management and reporting. You have a natural ability to interpret information, identify trends and translate data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
Your strong attention to detail is matched by your ability to see the bigger picture, allowing you to balance competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes. You are confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
You bring excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine interest in improving processes and finding more efficient ways of working. Experience contributing to business improvement, quality assurance or change initiatives will be highly regarded, along with proficiency in business systems, reporting tools and spreadsheets.
