About the role
About The Role:
As an Irrigation Construction Team Member, you will work as part of the team responsible for various labouring and machine operation tasks in the construction of high-quality irrigation at Council open spaces. Tasks include use of plant and machinery, assembling and laying irrigation pipework, turf restoration, and general labouring.
The position is part of a cross-Council collaboration between the Cities of Charles Sturt, Port Adelaide Enfield, and Marion, and as such, project and maintenance works are performed across all three Council areas.
This role is crucial to the progress of significant projects across the Council areas, with team members expected to complete works on time with quality standards, leading to exceptional outcomes for the community.
The team have delivered notable projects to the community including complete renewals of the irrigation at Seacliff Golf Course for the City of Marion, Greenacres Reserve for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and St Clair Oval No 2 for the City of Charles Sturt.
About You:
You have an MR Licence and white cardA trade certificate, or equivalent experience, in Irrigation, Horticulture or Landscape ConstructionTickets in excavator or back-hoe are highly desirableYou display a focus on safety and a positive team culture.

About Our Team:
The Construction and Delivery team helps build the future of our City. Featuring project and operations engineers, labourers and landscape developers who work on our tree canopy targets, we collaborate to create secure structures and appealing landscapes for our City.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, employed by the City of Charles Sturt. This position is classified at Grade ME6, with a starting salary of $80,426.73 per annum + Super. As the position requires travel to work sites across the three Council areas, a competitive starting and finishing on the job allowance is applicable to each working day (base of $40.70 per day = $366 per fortnight).
