Melbourne preferred | Australia-wide considered | Great Rate | Contract + Extension PotentialWe’ve just received an urgent requirement for an experienced SharePoint Developer / Engineer to lead a major upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition within an Azure IaaS environment.
This is a hands-on technical delivery role where you’ll take ownership of the upgrade journey — from building the new environment and remediating custom solutions through to testing, cutover, rollback and operational handover.The opportunity:September 2026 – February 2027Strong view to extendMelbourne preferred, but open to candidates Australia-wideGreat contract rateImmediate interviewsThe key requirement:You must have hands-on experience with SharePoint Server 2016 and Subscription Edition, ideally including a direct 2016 → Subscription Edition upgrade.What we’re looking for:SharePoint Server 2016 & Subscription EditionDirect SharePoint upgrade experienceDatabase-attach upgradesSharePoint farm administration & PowerShellAzure IaaS-hosted, load-balanced SharePoint farmsWSP/full-trust solutions & SharePoint Server Object ModelC# & .NET Framework 4.8Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata & Secure StoreIIS, SQL connectivity, authentication & certificatesULS, IIS and SharePoint upgrade-log troubleshootingAdditional experience that would be highly regarded:Entra ID / Azure ADMSAL / OAuth and Microsoft GraphREST / WCF integrationsVisual Studio / MSBuildCI/CD for SharePoint WSP deploymentSharePoint security hardeningProduction cutover and disaster recoveryManufacturing or FMCG environment experience – advantageous, but not mandatory
