Transport Operator / Truck Driver

About the role

Farm & Coastal Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Transport Operator / Truck Driver to join our team. Based in Warwick, QLD 4370, this role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods to customers across our service areas. As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for vehicle operation, route management, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism whilst representing our company on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Operating trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws, speed limits and road safety regulations

• Planning and following designated routes to meet delivery schedules and deadlines

• Maintaining accurate records of journeys, fuel consumption, mileage and delivery documentation

• Communicating effectively with dispatch, management and customers regarding delivery status and any delays or issues

• Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both internally and externally

• Adhering to hours of service regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks to ensure driver fatigue does not compromise safety

• Assisting with loading and unloading procedures as required

What we're looking for

• Valid Multi Combination (MC) truck licence appropriate to the vehicle being operated

• Current and valid National Police Clearance Certificate or willingness to obtain one

• Proven experience as a truck driver or transport operator in the road transport industry

• Comprehensive knowledge of road safety legislation, traffic regulations and vehicle operation requirements

• Excellent time management and route planning abilities

• Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills

• Professional communication skills and ability to interact positively with customers and team members

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual duties associated with loading and unloading

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
