About this role:

Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Projects division as the Senior Manager Program Delivery (B2N), you will be working as part of the Major Projects division on the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade. You will provide technical leadership within a multi-disciplinary and multi-party environment, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, and operationally effective. Experience with rail commissioning and asset acceptance will be critical for this role.

This role is a fixed term role until 01 September, 2028, based in Brisbane CBD & Carseldine project office, in Northern Brisbane.

You can expect some of your responsibilities to include: 

• Participate as a member of the management team to provide leadership on key issues relating to the delivery and integration of a new passenger rail line in a integrated passenger and rail infrastructure environment.
• Provide leadership, technical and professional guidance to design, planning and delivery teams of the B2N Project.
• Manage the delivery of the B2N program in accordance with allocated budgets, schedules, safety targets and Project performance measures.
• Provide detailed reporting to key stakeholders outlining progress against agreed deliverables including actual and potential variations to cost, time or quality and potential risks
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and strategically influence decision making to drive beneficial outcomes for Queensland Rail and the B2N Project, ensuring continuous interface, communication and integration between the project partners/agencies and other key internal and external stakeholders in delivering key project milestones including the Direct Sunshine Coast project (DSC).
• Lead and manage the integration of B2N project requirements, engineering, cost, constructability and human factors and utilize relationships with key internal stakeholders

What you can bring to the role:

• High level of skill and proven experience in providing leadership and strategic direction of a complex major infrastructure project from development to construction within a mega project environment.
• Extensive knowledge of rail transport operations and associated legislation and organisational governance principles relating to the Rail Industry projects.
• High level of skill in program management to optimise safety including understanding of commercial arrangements and contract negotiation and management and reporting within various delivery models.
• High level of skill using creativity and innovation in driving change to support the delivery of a changed Rail environment.
• High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships.
