Compliance Project Officer | Marine & Defence
Randstad has partnered with a leading maritime contractor to recruit a detail-oriented Compliance Project Officer based in tropical Cairns, QLD.
In this critical role, you will be directly responsible for the management, compilation, review, sign-off, approval, and submission of key project and quality documentation to ensure smooth maritime and defence operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDocumentation Management: Compile, review, sign off, and submit Job Tickets, Scopes of Work (JCS/MWO where applicable), SWMS templates, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Technical Compliance: Review drawings, specifications, and task-specific information to ensure project standards are met.
Objective Quality Evidence (OQE): Prepare and compile comprehensive OQE documentation, including supporting evidence, test results, and site photos.
Specification & Data Control: Ensure all relevant technical data received from vessel owners, suppliers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) is properly uploaded and filed.
Quality Assurance Maintenance: Maintain structured QA Project Specific folders and enforce subcontractor OQE compliance requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
QA Background: Proven hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and documentation control.
Industry Context: Previous experience in the Defence or Commercial Maritime sectors.
Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of marine and ship repair maintenance operations.
Systems & Standards: Strong familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Regulatory Awareness: Working knowledge of Class and maritime regulatory requirements.
