Are you an organised and proactive professional with experience coordinating projects, programs, events or workforce initiatives? The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is seeking a Workforce Programs Officer to support the delivery of workforce programs and initiatives that strengthen employee capability, wellbeing, engagement and inclusion across the department.
What You'll Do:
Coordinate and support workforce programs, projects and initiatives that enhance workforce capability, retention, diversity, inclusion and employee engagement.
Deliver workforce events, workshops, communications and engagement activities that support departmental priorities.
Support the delivery of training programs, employee wellbeing initiatives, workplace culture activities and Social Club events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support workforce programs and organisational change initiatives.
Research workforce trends, emerging issues and best practice approaches to support workforce planning initiatives and organisational improvement.
Prepare reports, briefing materials and workforce program documentation, while maintaining accurate records and reporting requirements.
Provide project and administrative support to the Workforce Programs Manager and contribute to branch priorities.
About You:
Experience coordinating projects, programs or initiatives and supporting successful delivery from planning through to implementation and evaluation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather information, identify emerging issues and prepare reports and recommendations.
High-level written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing project documentation and delivering information to groups.
Experience using workforce systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
A collaborative, customer-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Project Management or a related field.
