CPP Civil
CPP have a dedicated in-house Civil construction department that plays a critical role in project delivery, providing scoping, estimating, management, and construction of civil works across transmission lines, renewables, and utility projects—giving us greater control over key project components.
Our capabilities include access tracks, roads, structural foundations, cable trenches, conduits, oil containment, and site infrastructure such as laydown areas and facilities. We also manage bulk earthworks, drainage, fencing, and signage, ensuring seamless integration of civil works into every project we deliver.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support site based delivery of substation and associated civil infrastructure projects across WA.
This is a hands on role focused on site execution. You will coordinate concrete and structural steel works, interpret drawings and specifications, and ensure civil scope is delivered safely, to quality and schedule. You will also be responsible for QA/QC documentation, test reports, and handover packs to the electrical team and client.
The role operates on a rostered swing, typically 11/3. Projects usually run between 5 – 10 months, with the opportunity to move between projects as work completes.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys being on site, working regionally, and wants a clear progression pathway into Senior Project Engineer and Project Management positions.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalentStrong experience delivering civil or infrastructure works on siteProven capability interpreting drawings and specifications and managing concrete and steel scopeDisciplined approach to QA/QC, documentation and handover packsComfortable working rostered swings and in regional or remote locationsStrong communication skills and a proactive, resilient mindsetSubstation civil experience is advantageous, however engineers from large scale infrastructure projects with strong site delivery exposure are encouraged to apply, as substation specific elements can be trained.
