About us:
Eimeo Road State School (ERSS) has a proud tradition of providing quality education to students across the growing Northern Beaches area of Mackay, including Eimeo, Blacks Beach, Dolphin Heads and Rural View. The school is committed to creating a positive and caring environment where every student can learn, succeed and flourish. Strong relationships between students, staff and the wider school community are central to the school's approach. The school offers modern learning facilities, a library, tuckshop, extensive sporting areas, adventure playgrounds, spacious ovals and shaded activity areas, providing students with opportunities to achieve their academic, cultural and sporting potential.
Why Eimeo Road State School?
ERSS is entering an exciting phase of school improvement through the expansion of our Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) model. Building on successful outcomes in Prep, the PLC is being extended across the school to provide targeted support for students requiring intensive adjustments while strengthening inclusive practices in every classroom.

About the Role:
Aligned with the Queensland Department of Education's role description, the Head of Special Education Services provides strategic leadership and expert advice to support students with disability and diverse learning needs.
The HOSES leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based inclusive practices, targeted interventions and reasonable adjustments that enable students to access the Australian Curriculum and achieve success. The role collaborates closely with teachers, leaders, families and external agencies to strengthen inclusive practices, coordinate support services and ensure resources are aligned to student needs.
At ERSS, this role extends beyond compliance and case management. We are seeking a leader who can influence practice, build collective capability and drive sustainable improvement in inclusive education across the school.
