About the role
Description
Amazon is looking for an analytical Program Manager for Australian Retail business, who has a passion for driving scalable supply chain improvements. You will build an in-depth understanding of Amazon's commercial frameworks, operational processes, and programs across inbound supply chain.
With this knowledge, you will manage the improvement of Amazon’s operational performance and growth, where improvement is defined as defect reduction, cost savings, time savings, increased quality and higher customer satisfaction. Your stakeholders include our external suppliers, our internal customers, and your team members. The ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task is a must, together with program management skills and sharp attention to detail.
This is a high-impact role that combines supply chain expertise, vendor-facing communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will influence strategy, set the standard for operational engagement methodology, and work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to deliver measurable reductions in supply chain defects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

This position requires full-time in-office presence 5 days per week at our CBD location.
Key job responsibilities
Managing operational performance and strategy of our partners, and the impact to the P&L. Building and owning supply chain relationships with some of Australia's largest retail vendors. Driving key operational performance indicators, finding ways to work at scale across the wider vendor base. Influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders, using effective communication and interpersonal skills to encourage other teams to support team priorities and deliver results. Managing projects and programs that deliver cost efficiencies, directly helping our customers to access a broader selection with faster delivery promises. Visiting vendor and other Amazon sites across AU when required.
A day in the life
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse supply chain data, develop improvement strategies, and nurture vendor relationships. You'll participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders, review performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process enhancement. Your work will directly contribute to improving customer experience through better product availability.

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience 3+ years of with Excel experience Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Knowledge of database systems and SQL
