What To Expect
The RMA Intern supports Tesla Energy product lines by managing RMA cases, technical customer inquiries, and spare parts logistics to ensure service commitments are met accurately and on time. Operating from the Melbourne office, this role suits a client-facing candidate with an electrical or engineering background who collaborates with Sales, Operations, Field Service, and Service Engineering teams.
You will thrive in both independent and team settings, proactively improving the owner experience for a growing customer base while handling daily tasks with strong customer service, technical acumen, and minimal oversight. What You'll Do
Answer inbound calls and emails to provide high-level customer supportEvaluate customer needs and resolve technical battery system issues creativelyEducate installers and customers on energy storage system operationDetermine if issues can be fixed by phone or require service escalationManage RMA transactions, parts shipping, and returns for field techniciansHandle goods received, dispatch, and stock management at the Melbourne Service centerOptimize parts mix, track slow/fast movers, and maintain accurate inventory databasesSupport Field and Service teams with parts ordering and demand planningRecord all issues and data accurately in the CRM systemParticipate in project planning, reporting, continuous improvement, Kanban, and 5S activities
What You'll Bring
Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics engineering background strongly preferredAbility to work full-time (5 days per week) for at least a 6-month contractExcellent written and oral English communication and customer service skillsExperience with CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and material transfer formsBackground in technical support, energy industry, logistics, or distribution preferredUnderstanding of distributed generation or energy storage systems preferredAbility to prioritize, handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlinesReliable, quality-focused self-starter who maintains a safe working environmentWillingness to learn new technologies and assist/teach others on the teamAbility to follow instructions with attention to detail and build positive working relationships
