We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery of our mechanical insulation and passive fire projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This role is central to maintaining our reputation for technical accuracy, compliance, and high‑quality installation.
About the RoleYou will oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring all mechanical insulation works, including pipework, ductwork, plant, acoustic treatments, and thermal systems, are executed to TPN’s standards. A key component of the role is managing passive fire systems, ensuring correct installation of fire‑rated penetrations, barriers, wraps, boards, and structural protection in accordance with NCC and manufacturer approvals.
Key ResponsibilitiesReport directly to operations director and general manager.
Lead project planning, scheduling, and site coordination across multiple active projects
Manage installation teams delivering mechanical insulation and passive fire works
Provide operational support to geographically diverse operations, including WA, ACT, and other regions as required
Oversee passive fire systems including fire‑rated penetrations, collars, wraps, batts, sealants, board systems, and steel protection
Ensure compliance with NCC, AS 1530, AS 4072.1, and manufacturer installation requirements
Conduct QA inspections, ITPs, and documentation for certification and handover
Liaise with builders, mechanical contractors, fire engineers, and certifiers
Resolve technical queries relating to insulation performance, condensation control, acoustic treatments, and passive fire FRLs
Mentor supervisors and installers to maintain workmanship standards
Drive safety culture and ensure alignment with Modern Slavery, WHS, and compliance frameworks
Move equipment and materials between sites, assist with site clean-up and handovers
Proven experience in mechanical insulation or multi‑trade construction management
Strong technical knowledge of passive fire systems, installation tolerances, and compliance pathways
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, fire engineering reports, and system data sheets
Skilled in stakeholder management and confident in client‑facing communication
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
